Cast iron has been used in kitchens for centuries. It is exceptionally robust, durable and stores heat extremely well. Since 1906, Skeppshult has combined these qualities with Swedish craftsmanship. Every piece is carefully cast and finished – cookware designed not for a few years, but for generations.

The secret our grandmothers already appreciated: cast iron absorbs heat efficiently, distributes it evenly and retains it for a long time. Once heated, cooking can continue with relatively little energy. Food cooks evenly, stays succulent and remains warm for a long time at the table.
Grandma's tip: Put the pan directly on the table – the food stays hot for a long time and solid cast iron also looks beautiful.

Skeppshult uses carefully controlled raw materials and no artificial coating. The cookware is factory-seasoned with natural rapeseed oil, creating a natural surface protection. After a quick rinse it is ready to use, and its characteristic patina continues to develop over time.
Clean with hot water, dry thoroughly and apply a thin layer of oil when needed. A natural patina develops over time.
